Custom Cue with 3 points?

I was thinking about having a cue made with three points. Would this be difficult to do? Would it play good? I am wanting a sneaky pete style cue with no wrap and three crosses inlaid in the butt. If this is something that would make the cue not play well then I would not want to do it.

If you want a "full spliced" cue like most sneakies, it's probably not going to happen.
Some may argue this, but the number of points and how they got there (assuming quality work) affects the playability of the cue very little.
 
I Still have a dozen or so 3 points blanks that I'm selling for $150 a piece that you can have a builder finish up. If interest send me a PM and I'll send some pics.

Food for thought. Viking made three point cues and they looked terrible. The point is almost never visible because of the spacing and the bottom of the points are so wide they look just awful. If you want something different try a five point cue. The spacing and visibility of the points is very nice. Nicer then a four or a six. They space out just perfectly.

At any time you can see about 50% of a cue so if you have 3 points you can always see 1.5 points.

I make 3 point cues when I want to show off the figure in the forearm wood and they looke great. You should not cut the points wider in a 3 point cue than you do in a 4 point cue. A 5 point cue has narrow points in my opinion.

I don't think 5 points cues are as structuraly sound as 3 or 4 points cues because there is no shoulder between the inlayed points. 5 point cues do look nice but I am more concerned with a cue's durability.

I just sold my ebony with tulip wood points and red veneer cue two weeks ago. It had three points and a black leather wrap. Cue played great kind of regret selling it.
 
Viking made them in the past and might still.....but I never thought were that appealing....personal preference I guess.

Just guessing here, but don't you think that since he wants three crosses inlayed into the cue that the three points somehow represent the Trinity?
