Custom cue woes

I have requested for a cue to be made according to pictures on a cuemakers site. The cue made had some variances in terms of design. A little less was done. Am I in the wrong to have the cue fixed to look the way I wanted? I have nothing in writing and everything was communicated on the phone. I can understand if it was a one off design but I was going by a picture on their site. I wanted to get a cuemakers perspective on this. I am a pretty easy person to work with but I feel like corners were cut to get it out quickly. Should I ask for it to be remade or just accept the work as it is nearly completed?

if you do not like the cue DO NOT BUY IT. if you wanted a 8 pointer and got a 4 pointer that's a great difference, if you wanted 12 piece stitch rings and you got 8 piece stitch rings and the cue looks and plays o.k. then that's a different can of worms.
communication between a customer and builder is very important, both must know what each wants and expects.
i build most as a hobby, but when i discuss a cue with a potential customer, i wright down what he wants in a cue, then try to get it as close as possible, i do not accept any deposits. that way if the customer is not satisfied with the cue they have lost nothing but a bit of wait time and i have another finished cue in stock for sale.
 
To be specific, a total of 12 ivory dots were left out. Its the only ivory dots in the cue as a matter of fact. It pretty much changes the entire look of the cue in my mind. Or am I being too demanding?
