Is there anyone on this forum who could tell me where in scotland I could find a cuemaker who can make me a cue to my own personal specifications and roughly how much it would cost?.

I have done a google search and found 1 remotely close to you. Andy Gibbs. He mainly does snooker cues, but if you get a hold of him he could point you in the right direction if he himself could not make you a custom cue.

Here's the link: http://www.smartsnooker.com/

Hope it helps

I was just wondering about what sort of things I should bear in mind when designing my cue like types of wood inlays things like that. Any advice would be appreciated.

Markus I'm not looking for anything fancy but what would you yourself reccomend and how much detail can you put in the cue, also could you make a replica of a cue already in production if I so wished?.

May be a shaft! :p

If thats your price range then your going to be looking at custom sneaky pete's.

Nothing wrong ...

with a good custom made sneaky Pete. A good one will play
as good as a cue costing $700-900, IMO. Unless you are also
into pretty, then you have to spend $400-500 for a plain basic
custom. about $650-750 for any inlays in it. And a $1,000 up
for a nice looking and playing custom cue.
I not real up on pounds, but I think 150 pounds is about $350-360
pesos, oops, I mean dollars, so if you can come up with a little
more, you can get a plain (when I say plain, I mean the forearm
is just wood, but some woods are beautiful to me), that plays good.
I know that Shurtz custom cues here in town offers there basic
custom cue, not counting SP's, at $400.

Hi Scorpion,

our cues start at 225 € ( 275 US$) . 150 Pounds equal about 218 Euros so you would need a little more....but I would recommend that you have a look at our website and have a look at our designs and pick what you would like. As a start i would recommend something like the

Eurowest 98/03 285 €

or the
Eurowest 98/04 295 €

Nothing fancy but a well made cue to get started with. Of couse you tell us you wishes regarding the tipsize , weight, length etc.
