Custom Fitting 314^2 to a jacoby

I've been debating buying a 324^2 partial and sending it off with my cue to get a joint put in with a very tight tolerance between the outside of the shaft pilot, to the inside of the butt i.e Balabushka, espiritu, schon, and also a tight depth tolerance. Basically i want to fill the inside of the butt end of the joint completely tight. My Jacoby vibrates alot at the joint and i am hoping to rid myself of that vibration to the best extent.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows anyone, or is someone who is very good with tight tolerances in installing a joint. PM or post with info.

Many thanks,

Chris

If you can find anybody who would construct your shaft as you desire I would be surprised. Concerning piloted shafts. Some shafts are a close fit between the inside of the joint and the outside of the shaft insert tenon. This is to align the shaft latterly to the joint, however, the shaft should never bottom out at the bottom of the joint. The shaft will not align straight with the butt if it does.
