Every cuemaker makes jump breakers. I know some to the best breakers I have seen use a Ned Morris customer cue.
He will customize just about anything you want, and is one of the only 25 certified cue builders in the US and he works on restoration as well as builds cues.
He is known throughout the industry, but does not produce a lot of cues annually due to meticulous work. There is one guy I play that has has a Morris for over 20 yrs, and he is in elite group of top breakers in the state for sure. WHen he hits a rack with that cue, everybody in the room" winces" including me... and says "oh my G-d."
I am not kidding... it is that differentand loud as compared to any other break I have heard in over 25 yrs. Never heard such a collision from any other cue. Of course he prob hits at over 16-20 mph. Next time I play him I am going to ask if I can try it out.
Don't hold me to it but I think they should run you well under $600, but can go up from their based on inlays, complexity, etc... just discuss with Ned what woods you wish to have. His daughter is a pro also known for her impressive break with a Morris... that rivals both men and women.
His prices are well underneath a Gilbert, which is a popular JB cue, certainly well reviewed on here. I can tell you that Ned's cues hold their value well, as distributors and Ned just don't let em' go at any discount. There is no dealing with prices, which sets the bar and ensures his cues will go up in value rather than down.
I would trust Ned to make just about anything as he has deep knowledge and capabilities.
I am trying to decide between my BK2 and my Mezz PB2 w DI2. I just bought the DI2 shaft. I will likely move to a Ned Morris Custom JB in the end. The BK is just a breaker and I have a great jump cue, but the Mezz won't jump very well for me. Maybe the new shaft will.
