Hello again to all.I craft wood custom cue cases of pretty much any size and style you may come up with. 1/1 1/2 2/2 2/3 3/3 3/4 and so on.Ive been doing this for some time now and enjoy every minute of it,well all most every minute. lol
My prices are modest and we can do a carring case or a show case if thats what you want.Here are a couple of basic prices that work good.The prices are basic carrying case prices and to me a basic simply means no added frills like inlays or personalizing.A 2 wood combination with all hardware and lined with your color choice.And beleive me i've made and sold many basic cases.
1/1 case $150.00
1/2 case $160.00
2/2 case $175.00
custom cases are in a range of $175.00 and up.....all pricing is plus shipping.
All the cases have a standard lenght of 34 3/4 long and room for a small spot for chalk or protectors.
Some of the woods i use are walnut,maples,spalted woods,rosewoods ebony and so on..just ask if you have a special look you want and i'm sure i could get something or at least give it my best shot.I like to talk to the person i am doing a case for,on the phone or at least in emails to get all the facts straight between us before anything is started.Lead times are between 4-6 weeks.

Rogers cases are solid and will become an heirloom.
You can't get a better hand built wood case.
Real head turners, my wife has one and people are constantly stopping by the table to ask permission to look at it.
 
Mornine Terry-yes i do remember that case,was my first made with Zicote wood.I couldn't believe how nice it turned out.Thanks for the great compliment.Works a little slow right now,would be a great time for someone to dream up there keepsake.Take care Blue Hog ridr aim for the hole!

Beautiful looking cases. What a great skill to have to work with wood like that. Is the weight of these cases equal to normal cases?

Mine is. I have a 1x2 from roger and ways just as much as my oneil 1x2. Keep in mind most box cases are wood core and tack on the leather or vinyl.
 
I don't know much about any of the other cases out there -i'm sure there are many different kinds and all types of materials.I would have to say an average weight to a 2/2 case of mine would be in the neighberhood of 3lbs.empty.obviously some wood cases would be lighter and some heavier.All depending on woods used. The heaviest 2/2 case i've done weighed 5.5 pounds and it had alot of heavy woods such as rosewoods and ebony.I hope this helps you. Thanks Roger

Do you have / can you get pictures of the inside of a 2x2 of yours?

Is there any way you could make a case like a 2x2 with a chalk holder at the top like I saw and another spot at the bottom for a cue ball?

I know this might sound stupid but the outside of the case does have a layer of finish on it, right? Are they finished in a way that if I were carrying this into a place and it got a little wet I'd have to worry? I would obviously wipe it off but I don't want things to affect it later.
