It's Mike's standard thinwall ss. I've played w/ ss & fibre joints from Mike & found they played the same since they're both flat face radial pins coming to bear on cored hardwood media. His cues are fantastic, but I found the big pin just isn't for me. Been playing w/ 5/16-14 pilot for a long time & I'm not interested in making an adjustment - too many fish in the sea.
Would love to turn this cue so I can move forward in the direction I seem to prefer. Sorry - no more pics at this point, but the small finish chips in the end of the butt cap are the only things about it that aren't mint. I use gray chalk & the shafts are played but very clean.
Somebody's missing a wonderful cue! Make a reasonable offer!!
BTW - I have a personally designed pair of Capones that Roy Malott w/ Indy Q Shop will be posting to sell for me in the next few days. Very high end player & jump/break "little sister". 8 points - 4 ivory short / 4 thuya burl long w/ 5 veneers. Lots of ivory, silver, malachite. Both Gabon Ebony.
You all have a look. Roy's great to deal with!
