I have been looking at buying a custom sneaky pete. but which one? This may sound funny but i have played with 12 year old meucci sneaky pete most of my
pool playng career. i realy liked the way it played but my friend broke it. I am
a pretty good player APA 9 in 9 ball and 7 in 8 ball. I bought a brand new schon
about 2 years ago. and dont like it as much as i did the meucci. It just dont hit as good as some of the older schons in my opinion. I am wanting to order a custom but which? Do i want balance in front, center or rear? please give me advice. I know i like old meucci sneakys and older schons. But i feel i play my best with that old meucci sneaky pete i had, it had a good feel to it. which cuemaker should i talk to? was thinking josey or bob frey. Thanks, Travis

Why dont you try to find an old meucci? There are so many custom cuemakers to choose from you be spending more time trying to decide on which than you would be playing. I dont know any cuemakers out there that make anything similar to the way that meuccis hit. All the meucci's Ive played with seemed so whippy, IMHO. In regards to your choices of Josey or Frey, I dont think you can go wrong but I dont think they will hit like a meucci. Your best bet would be just trying to find an old meucci on ebay. Good luck finding what you are looking for

Old Meucci Sneaky Pete

I have a few old meucci sneaky petes my friend would buy them for the shafts and never used the butt. He had two left over from some that he bought one is in new condition and the other is like new. $150.00 + $10.00 shipping if you want one. Thanks

are there any that hit about the same as the old schon's use to? thanks.

I like dzuricky sneaky's. http://www.dzcues.com

I played with a schon for a couple of years and didn't suffer when I sold it and was playing with just the sneaky. Mine is balanced about 19.35" or so from the butt.

I'm sure he could get it balanced the way you want or at least come very close. He also responds pretty quickly to emails.

dont know... never played with a schon. I hear schons play pretty solid which most custom cues will play like especially from right. Josey's are pretty stiff. Frey's play like scruggs. Now if schons play like scruggs and josey's you would have to ask some of the guys on hear that have schons. What has to be understood is that each and every cue is going to play different for everyone. I would also like to recommend, Scot Scherbine from proficient billiards, he make a good solid cue. Blud also makes a solid hitting sneaky. There are just so many out there.

I'll second that. Scot's cues play great for the money.
