Custom Toolbox Lathe VIDEO

Dave,
This is a great video. Thanks for taking the time to do it and to uploaded it to YouTube.
It is crazy how easy it is to put that lathe together. Very handy. I am waiting on a couple of lathes from Bassel as well and this portable lathe is on the back of my mind because I do repair work all the time around here as well. Rep for you.

Dave
Thanks for posting the video, finally now every can see how easy it is to assemble and how quiet and steady it is while running. This lathe is what started everything for me, and will always be one of my greatest cue lathe design breakthough for make it all fit nicely inside this tool box, plus
having the capability to do ANY repair job
Best Regards

The runout of the head stock is the same like all my othe cue lathes garenteed to be better than 0.003"
Plus using the dovetail coupler to add the extention on the right for cleaning is just as good as one piece 100% straight. Also as for the stability of the whole unit, it couldn't be any better, the mounting bracket are position in a way to provide optimum wieght distribution for max stability, the walls of the tool box are reinforced at the bracket mounting area to provide a strong solid hold. When you run this lathe with it's quiet 1/3HP motor, there is no movement any where. In my opinion, this is the best portable cue lathe on the market today.

Note: prior to lauching this unit, the whole design undergone lots of stability simulations and few adjustment were made to provide maximum stability.
Regards

Plus using the dovetail coupler to add the extention on the right for cleaning is just as good as one piece 100% straight. There is no chatter when you are cleaning a cue shaft. I will have 3 more videos up this weekend. Showing tip replacement, ferrule repalcement & tenon replacement. You will be able to hear that there is no chatter, it solid enough just sitting on the toolbox. Also i will do a video of it at the bar where the toolbox lathe is sitting on a table freely. thanks Dave

This is the perfect traveling cue repair lathe for Tournaments..
The tool box dimensions are 22" x 12" x 11", also the motor is mounted to the headstock, so you can slide the headstock up and down or mount it on the extension piece for joint work and much more.
