Cutting Silver Inlays

My buddy is trying to cut some silver strips for inlays. He has a piece that is 20,000 ths thick and he is trying to cut 8th inch strips. He's not having much luck and I told him I would post the question to the experts. What's the best way to cut 8th inch stips of 20,000 ths thick silver for inlay?? Thanks, Raildriver

I use a stomp shear.

I thought those types of wraps were outlawed! Or I could have gotten them mixed up with elephant... At any rate, I have no desire to learn how to put one on or see one applied. Raildriver

You could just take it to a sheet metal guru and have them shear off what you need...
