Cyclop cue ball

I just ordered a set of Cyclop balls online. The distributor that I used had them drop shipped from his vendor, which turned out to be Nick Varner. I opened the set today and noticed that the cue ball had a different logo than the other sets that I have played on in Vegas and locally on the other Diamond tables in town. Instead of having the Cyclop logo, it had a Diamond logo. It still has the "translucent glow" to it. I haven't had a chance to hit any balls with them today and I had them shipped to work. I also decided to weigh all the balls and they ranged from 168.4g to 170.8g. The object balls were all from 168.4g to 169.4g, only the cue ball was 170.8. Size also ranged from 2.246" to 2.250". I have searched on here and haven't found anything saying that they changed their logo or that maybe they are using a different logo for the traditional set vs the TV set. I did notice on one set on eBay that a pic of a traditional set had the same cue ball as mine. Has anyone else received a set with the Diamond logo? If so, any noticeable difference from the Cyclop logo'd cue ball?

Not intending for this to turn into a "I love or I hate these balls" thread, just checking on the difference in logo on cue ball. Added the stats for the hell of it since I have the equipment at work to do so before they were ever hit.

Thank you.

If I remember correctly, the cyclop logo cue ball came with the skittle color ball set. Don't quote me on that, because I'm not 100% certain.

There are two different logos that come on the cue balls..

There is a diamond logo and the Cyclop logo.

The Cyclop logo comes with the Tournament set (skittles)

Diamond may swap them out for tournament play but that's how they come if you order them.

Thanks. That is what I was figuring that it was for the different sets. What was confusing is that the local pool hall that just switched to all Diamonds, opted for the traditional set of balls instead of the tournament set, has the cyclop logo ball. I guess it could also do with commercial vs home use as well.

Jeez....those are pretty good specs for the set regardless.......hope you enjoy them.

I had both sets and confirm the diamond logo come with the standard sets and the skittles cam with the other.
