March 1st is here! The day we've been waiting for! KT's using the age old,
"the checks are in the mail" thingy and please feel free to post if any of our
players here got something today...

According to KT's last e-mail to IPT players, the were to receive their 'next' payment TODAY. In part, here is what he said:

• Players from the 2006 World Open will continue to be paid monthly until you are paid in full. Payments will be made on the first of each month. No payment will be made February 1st. The next payment will be March 1st, 2007. The amount of each payment will be determined each month and may vary from time to time. It is our full intention to get everyone paid in full within the next six months.

• As I mentioned previously, for all those who entered 2007 Tour Card qualification tournaments, if we are not capable of fulfilling our commitments relating to the 2007 Tour, you will be refunded your enrollment fee. We plan on making an announcement on April 15, outlining the 2007 & 2008 seasons.



The 'Announcement' on the 15th shouldn't make a difference to the payment received on the FIRST of March.... imo

I hope that he isn't going to blame the demise of the IPT on China & Japan.... Oy-Vey !

I certainly wouldn't hold your breath Doug, the local guys are at the Bar Box Championships in Reno and said they would be shocked if KT sent out the cheques:(
 
I say this very carefully, but if the attorneys are saying wait, I say wait. If they are saying go, then go.

Well, I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but it IS March 4th and KT's last 'Announcement' to the players DID say this:
• Players from the 2006 World Open will continue to be paid monthly until you are paid in full. Payments will be made on the first of each month. No payment will be made February 1st. The next payment will be March 1st, 2007. The amount of each payment will be determined each month and may vary from time to time. It is our full intention to get everyone paid in full within the next six months.

I am taking bets on what you think his excuse will be.

Im betting he says that the IPT is revamping its internal mechanics and has created added costs, which are delaying payment of the players.

But not to worry the restructuring will ensure the IPT for at least 2 years. The restructuring caused by changes in govt policy and the fact that he thinks he can con a hustler.

I figure that he's going to use the "not enough players are interested in supporting the IPT excuse". He left himself this 'out' in his last big Announcement e-mail to the players, when he wrote THIS:

"I do have a request for everyone receiving this email. I love the game of pool and I am very much committed to continuing to invest my own money and time to making the IPT a successful reality for many years to come. I need to know if you, the players, want the IPT to flourish. I need to know if I have your support. If you, the players, could care less if the IPT continues operating, and if you, the players do not support me in this endeavor, then it would be foolish of me to continue pursuing this tour. Therefore, I request that you respond to this email letting me know if you want this tour to exist and if you support me personally."

Anyone else want to take a shot at why the players haven't received their MARCH 1st payment ? So far, NO money and NO explanation..

Just goes to show ya, with enough reading we can learn to speaketh just like the Miracle Cure man. The only think wrong with your statement :D is it should be at least 350 words of BS, Good Post. KT may not know what to say now that you stole his thunder, or was that "blunder". ;)

I would say the IPT is the farthest thing from their minds anymore and that includes D.A. They are back in the book business and would like to forget they ever thought of the IPT. I will go out on a limb and say not another dime will be paid out by the IPT.

IMO if there will be checks this month, the March 1st date stated by KT would be the date the checks were to be written and mailed/fedex'd on March 2nd with the first checks arriving on Monday March 5th.

This does not mean I believe there will be checks. Just a big if.
