Hello there,

A friend of mine just got a searing cue from ebay and wanted to have his searing refinished. Anyone has his email? I'd like to ask for refinishing prices.

Don't waste your time, he won't reply to your email. He won't return your phone call either.

I received an email reply from Dennis just a couple of days ago.I am sure that he is very busy.Give him a little time to respond/reply.

Marc,
The last time I sent the email and talked with him was two years ago at little Kenny's cue show. Told me he would respond to my email in a couple of days. I will try and contact him again tomorrow

Absolutely Charles.Try him again.I saw him not very long ago for a small service.Dennis IMHO, and many others is the top cue builder on the planet.Can you imagine how busy he must be? I agree that he should respond to emails/phone calls,but let's give him some time to get back to us.

Dennis was just about to reply to your eMail when he noticed his keyboard keys were not perfectly ergonomically matched to his fingers.

So he sought to redesign them.

In doing so, he learned that if the plastic composite was just altered slightly, the redesign process would go smoother.

He found that there were no manufacturers of the proper plastic.

So he began to mix up a batch of his own.

The first batch was really really really good, but Dennis rejected it, and is currently working on perfecting the curing times.

Then, he will be able to return your eMail.

I totally agree Kevin.If it ain't perfect Dennis ain't doin' it,lol :winknudge: He is a total fanatic when it comes to perfection.

or not very good.

How many times do you have to re-do something because you couldn't perfect it the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time?

Some call it busy and some call it bad business. I hope he answers you soon. I know it sucks to get a new cue and have to refinish it. It is like waiting for the cue all over again.

Only Dennis can answer that question. I would guess, and it's just a guess, that a Searing Cue refinish with Irish linen would be $300. Again, that is from memory so please don't quote me. I am 1000% positive that if you email him he will respond and will have answered your questions. :)
 
Searing Cues

I don't want to turn this into a Searing bash, if you get a response from Dennis about the refinish please PM me. I resent the copy of my cue order along with another email requesting a status on my cue order. Hopefully Dennis will find a few minutes from his busy schedule and reply to my email.

I apologize to you and Mr. Searing for my post in reference to Dennis not responding to email requests. He did contact me this morning, we are going to get started on the cue this summer.

that is great news to hear, you got a response back.

Too many bad cue makers here and glad he responded back.

We've heard stories about cue builders not answering calls and emails.
