Da Vinci tip

I usually prefer soft tips and I have played for 3 months with an elkmaster and I liked it, but I decided to change it because it needed a lot of manteinance. A friend suggested me to try a Da Vinci tip which is ( based on his opinion and from the hardness chart on pooldawg) very similar in softness to an elkmaster but it is also multilayered with all the benefits it entails. Does somebody have feedback on this tip?

I installed it and after just 2 hours of play, I can say it's nowhere near an elkmaster softness. It plays like it's a medium tip.

Unfortunately, hardness charts using durometer measurements have not been adequate for predicting similar behaviors between brands. I don't know of a method outside of personal experimentation.
