I'm selling a GREAT starter cue. It is a Dale Perry with Uni-loc joint! One of the shafts is a PREDATOR 314!! As many people will attest, DP cues are a great value for the money, and this one is no exception!

The cue has 4 ebony points with spear-heads into VERY NICE curly maple!! Each point also has a good sized inlayed ivory diamond! The butt sleeve has 4 spear-head points as well, and each of these also has an inlayed ivory diamond.

The cue weighs in pretty close to 19 oz, but I don't have the exact weight. (It does have a weight bolt if you want to change the weight.)

There are two shafts, one of which is a predator 314. The ferrules are not ivory, and there is some blueing due to playing time.

I bought this cue in early 2002 -> before DP started saturating the market with his cues. I think that I paid over 600 bucks for this thing, but I'm pretty sure I can't recoupe that... *sigh*

PM me if you are interested! And remember, one of the shafts is a Predator!

I feel your pain. I had two DPs at one time, one fancy one not, and I lost over 50% on both when I sold them after he went crazy on eBay. I thought they played well, but I couldn't stand his change in business practices. Good for new buyers who want a decent cue cheap, but bad for current customers who paid high dollar for his cues!

hey zim!!

how much for an old customer?

I'm hoping to sell for around $400 = $300 for the cue and $100 for the Predator. Shipping is $10 bucks for FedEx 2nd day. I would come a bit if you use paypal though. Is that a "pie-in-the-sky" dream?

No matter what, I'm selling this cue. So don't be shy. Put in an offer, and I'll take the highest one. I don't really want to go to Fleabay, but if I don't get any offers, I just might have to! DOH!

Really tragic how much this cue DE-preciated, lol.

I'll give you $350 right now if interested

I had one Brand New! Never Hit! I couldnt trade it to anyone at the VF expo--it was like I had the plague. It was an 800+ cue, ended up getting 300 for it.
It was pretty but always left a bad taste because of the reputation thing-I dumped it and cut my losses. But you know what I think, I think he makes a damn good cue--my buddy just bought one and it has the nicest curly maple and hits great--he runs racks. Its all preference and price is what the market will bear, for DPs its below average fair market value for a custom cue.

In all fairness, he did this to himself! I did the same as you and cut my losses. I think that if you are wanting a starter custom cue that you're going to keep for a while and play with all the time, and don't mind CNC points, then DP is a good choice. I will probably never buy another DP just because I'm still feeling jilted...lol, not to mention the fact that I'm now a v-slice/full splice guy.

Kind of ironic that DP Cue = DePreciated cue, LOL. I gotta say, with the predator though, it hit pretty good!

There is a high offer right now for an undisclosed amount, but I'm still waiting for confirmation. I have PM'ed the current high offeror.

I will be shipping this cue tomorrow morning to whoever wins if it is paid for via paypal.

DP Cues

RZ, no doubt, I see you play with a Skip, what a great cuemaker! You note full splice, who else is doing full splice now besides Joel Hercek?

I believe Mark Bear makes them. He posts here as fullsplice I think. I don't have any full splice yet, however, I am on Joel's wait list and only have 4 or so more years to wait before my name comes up...lol.

the predator shaft needs a new tip on it due to the layers separating, but it plays fine anyway. After the new tip,it'll be awesome. I have only used the predator shaft for summer league which started tonight, but it played great. I won all my games with it. hopefully it'll continue. nice dp though.

I've got two. So far I'm not crazy about the Speedster
but the other hits very well and gets a lot of compliments
in the pool room. Until I can afford a Bender it will have
to do.
