Danny Harriman's Power Break - Video link.

wow I can't believe the cb scratched, it must have hit 3 inches up the rail at about 30 degrees?

I'm thinking the same thing!!

I thought the same as Craig. At the angle of the CB and rate of speed, how in the world did it scratch. Must have been spinning hard when it hit the jaw of the pocket to get in??

I can't get to this video at work but I'll definitely check it out.

and I thought you might like to know, Mr. Colenso, that you won me a bet last night. Your power breaking videos on youtube helped me out so much, well... last night league was suspended due to absences so a lot of us were just sitting around. I had just got a new break cue and was trying it out and this guy was commenting negatively on how I hold my cue and how I stand and such (all things I saw from your vids). And so I said, I bet you 5 dollars I drop 4 balls on this next break. So the guy tries his method to "show me how its done", and leaves a mediocre spread. Then I step up and slam the rack and drop 5! I couldn't believe it. Just so you know, you have a student in me. :D

Well he hits the balls hard in this video. Is there a video where he controls the rock with that power.
My break speed is strong but the problem is controling the cue ball.

Colin, i just changed appartement this week, and i havent had time yet to fix the nex internet and tv. but i hope i will have internet by the end of this weekend, to post the archer analyse i still ow u all, and ill add this break too.

He does control the CB; you can see the topspin take and the CB come almost to a stop at mid-table, but then it gets kicked by two balls to send it uptable, and eventually scratch. The spin on the CB was about perfect to stop at center table, and the hit on the head ball was only very very slightly off-center. If he hadn't had those unlucky kicks, it would have been a textbook break shot.

A table at home? Solly, I'm envious!! Well done, mate.

I was thinking, the way Colin & Solly work on these breaks I think they should be signed up to provide analysis on TV!

Congrats on getting a pool table Solly.

I'm missing mine badly....still in pieces in the shed. Hopefully I'll find somewhere to set it up soon.

Colin

Danny has tremendous power due much to his training as an athlete in highschool.
he is a talented all around player. banks, one pocket, 9ball,14.1,3cushion...what a player
top 5 all around in the world in my opinion

well in my life all good news comes with bad news.

good news is: ive got 13m lenght to place the table. MORE then enough, BUT a small error on the surface calculations, gave this. i was suposed to have 4.5m wide to put a table, and apparently ive only got 3.5m. so its WAY to thin for a 9ft'er. ive only got 1meter on each sides. wich is just WAY to small.

but what can i do? no poolhall in the neighbourhood (1.5h+ drive at least), and the difference with a 8ft, is only 7.5cm on each side i win. thats not worth it in my mind. i guess ill just have to shoot lengtwise shots...

but its better then nothing and i can train my break :p

MAN i miss internet!! patience and the new break analyses will be posted.
Colin, any way u could add them to your website so they all can be easily found in one place?
