Are you good at all if you are good at one?
It's kind of all the same stroke. Just sort of reversed.
I guess I'm only better at pool is because I did it a lot more?

When there is no money on the pool tables I can always count on the dart guys.... The steel tip players are a bit harder to bust than the softtip players but it's all hand eye and PSR.....

The best night I had I bought a set of the tiny executive darts from a dart supply guy that came in as a gaff and asked for weight If I used em... No one wanted to give up weight but I used them all night anyway.... I think I pocketed about $240 that night off the steel tippers..... I was like averaging 6 round outs playing cricket but it was one of those nights where the stars aligned

I am best at darts, but hold my own in pool against my friends (would stink against competition), and generally win horse shoes at family get togethers (when else do you play horse shoes?).

I think it's an interesting question you brought up. I play pool a lot better than the other 2 but it's because I've spent countless more hours doing it. I think if you're a good pool player the hand/eye coordination and touch crosses over to the other 2 games very well. Some years back I was at a big outdoor festival and got into a horseshoe tourney (partners, blind draw) and me and this older fellow kicked everyone's a$$. I was tossing double ringers quite a few times and had only played shoes maybe 20-30 games in my life. I've had similar experiences with darts. With that said though I know there are people that can destroy me at both of those games that have put as much time in on those as I have at pool.

I can hold my own at both pool and horseshoes. I play one all winter and the other all summer. As for the darts, I am just average but slowly getting better.

I remember playing in a Bar-athalon, where all three games were played in a very long tournament. I thought I had a chance to win until it came to darts.:embarrassed2:

Shaky, this thread reminded me of Jim Knisley, I believe he was a 3-time
world horse shoe champ and at one time held a ringers record in action.
He had a small pool hall in Bremen, Ohio, which was dominated by a huge
6x12 snooker table....I have no idea how he played darts.

I like pool and darts.
Haven't had much to do with horse shoes.....
..but I've had a few opponents who've had lots of them...
