Just this weekend I stayed at a very nice ny hotel that had some interesting decor choices. It was a cross between steampunk/industrial and glitter elegance. My room featured a rug with a sugar skull design - how funny (and coincidental) given this recent thread conversation.
l would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in need of lodging in the Tappan Zee Bridge region of NY; you won't be disappointed. It's The Time, Nyack. The Spot, a beautiful pool room with all Diamond tables is in Nanuet, just one town over and 10 minutes away.
Regarding this thread, when comparing the two designs, the current one vs last years, I think this new one with the skull is much better.
