David Barber cue for sale - SOLD

CUE IS SOLD

4 extra long Brazilian cocobolo points in a birds eye maple forearm
Each point has a single thick black veneer
Brazilian cocobolo butt sleeve
Black joint & butt cap (butt cap has a tiny chip that has been refinished over)
Flat faced wood to wood joint with a 3/8x10 steel pin
Brown w/black specks linen wrap
20oz, 58”, 2 12.75mm shafts with linen ferrules
Custom made birds eye maple joint protectors are included

Assembled cue rolls straight. The butt by itself has a very slight wobble but it does not affect play in any way. I just want to be up front so there are no surprises. Cue plays great and it has a firm hit. This cue has been refinished and re-wrapped and not played with since.

ahh.. my friend has a david barber cue.. its nice... not very many of them around i guess... i will have to post a pic.. he seems to like using the extra long points... he seems to write something on his shafts near the collar. Cory does your shafts have anything writtin on the finished part above the collars? we couldnt figure out what it ment..

Hi Chris, my cue doesn't have any writing on the shafts above the joint collars. Your friends cue is only the third David Barber I've seen. I do like his long points though, Cory.
 
I have owned several David Barber cues (as well as a few Kreole Freddy Yates cues, his partner for a while). They are great playing cues and typically have the big pin wood to wood hit on them. I have only seen a couple of cues that he had written on the shaft at the joint. Most simply had his "DB" on the butt cap. He does make some cues with very long, nice points, and his cues are a real value. They are very popular down in southeast Alabama where I am originally from.
 
i will see if i can borrow it and take better pics of it.. especially the writing on the shaft.. chris

TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THE WRITING SIGNAFIES THAT IT IS ONE OF HIS SPECIAL SHAFTS, EITHER LAMINATED, OR LAKEWOOD.

IT MOST LIKELY SAYS CR7, WHICH IS HIS SPECIALTY SHAFT
 
got a couple of barbers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,would have three if david would ever own up and get my bocote break/jump back to me
