david g and chris b ?

Suprised someone has not posted updates yet. Anyway it was a massacre. I got there about thirty minutes after it started and it ended just as quick. 11 ahead for 15k.(not exactly sure it was 15 but that was what I was told). Chris beat David 12-1. Pretty sure it was all on the up and up. All those 100's spread out on the table sure looked good. After all rail bets and the money posted, Chris and his backers left with more than 25k(not fact what I was told by other players and railbirds). Everyone was expecting a marathon. Oh well. Was still fun to sweat it. The tournement that was going on at the same time was won by Chen yet again. Should have been him and Bartrum imo.

It was an 11 ahead set. The 12-1 is incorrect. David won several games.

David admitts he played very badly and never put any heat on him. That is taking nothing away from Chris. He played well, but, when you get two shots per game, you are supposed to play well. He was very gracious about the whole thing.

BTW, the bet was $12,500 with a few side bets, including mine. That's life in the pool room.

Yes, it was on the up and up!!!!!!!!

Well, I thought what I am about to say was common knowledge, but I guess not. Chen can win all of the weekly tourneys out there, but there is a reason the stakehorses aren't putting him in action with DG and JB. Chen can play, don't get me wrong, as evidenced by his long line of tournament trophies. But there is a big difference between a gambling session and a tournament.

Then you have never seen Chen gamble. Like the time he ran 125 and out for the cash playing Cliff J in straight pool. Or how he snapped off David G playing 9-ball the very same night after Cliff quit him. Or the time he gave a very decent shortstop the five out and ran over him like a train. He snapped off the Houstan open and had to double dip double JJ to do it. Chen also isnt hard up for the cash, so he is not out looking for action. You highly underestimate his game. You put your cash up against him if you are so confident. I have never seen any player in Texas that strings racks as often as Chen. Tell em BigDoc.

Tap Tap, great reply. I had an arguement with someone yesterday about the same thing. He was saying that his level of play wouldn't be the same
if he was gamblng. What a bunch of Shit, LOL> Step up and play him some
1000 dollars sets and find out. Moral of the story, do expect to get entertained by asking someone else to post their hard earned money.

How many does he string. I've watched him for 5 years now and never seen it.

He plays well, don't get me wrong, and a friend of mine. In fact he was our player of the year last year, so I have respect, but, there is a difference. I would stake David to some $1000 sets.

Then you should talk to Chen. Like I said he doesnt go looking for action, but I am sure it would not be hard to set something up. Hope you can afford to lose, because your money isnt safe with any player in the state if Chen wants to play.

Cmon, Dawg, let's get grounded here. I know Chen can play, but I've heard that he won't bet his own and people that want to put him in the box won't bet more than $200 against David. Sounds like you may be game to put Chen in the box for more than that. I may have to make my first visit to Dallas in a long while if something significant really happens.

1. The way David played against Chris -- I would bet on The Peanut Man against him. Yeah, it was that bad.

2. The way BOTH David and Chris played, I would bet on Chen to tear either a new one.

That is all.

it's just me or the title or this thread should be changed??!

I didn't see much discussion about david g vs. chris b?? instead.......

chen has been a nice guy and a great player for TX, he and david also are friends, there is just no need to get this any further.

I'd rather see some rubber match happen soon, and yes! I do rooting for david (and his backers) to get their money back plus some interest!!:)

we are going to play this game again. just so you know.....and the people who say this about chen and david need to get the facts straight...chen has never beat david gambling and if you want to post sometihng and bet a good amount we can meet somewhere and ask both of them when this happend. your story is wrong..... chris is a good guy to gamble with no problems no bs. just get down and play.... he has respect from our side. but david is going to play this game again;)
