That is all.
The Peanut Man! Booyah!

LPAC said:we are going to play this game again. just so you know.....and the people who say this about chen and david need to get the facts straight...chen has never beat david gambling and if you want to post sometihng and bet a good amount we can meet somewhere and ask both of them when this happend. your story is wrong..... chris is a good guy to gamble with no problems no bs. just get down and play.... he has respect from our side. but david is going to play this game again![]()
ironman said:Since you are so convinced, why don't you explain what happened in the first four games which set the tone of the whole match.
Secondly, explain anythng Chen does better thatn Chris did on this day.
Thirdly, why hasn't Chen challenged Chris or David to do anything.
Lastly, do you play pool at all?
cubc said:Does Chen speak decent engrish now? I remember I first met Chen on a local BCA 8 ball league I was on while doing a temporary job out in Tx. I was the top shooter in the league until he showed up. My team captain just said hey man you should try to play one of our new teammates and see if you can beat him..
Just the way it was worded was a bit odd to me since I've beaten a lot of people and he knew it. Chen shows up, as nice as ever, even though he couldnt speak much english you could tell he was a nice guy. He broke.. ran out a tough rack of 8 ball... broke again.. ran again.. broke again.. ran again.. Repeating of course. I was like well now...
So anyway there was this other lil asian guy who was teaching Chen english. I moved away and looked Chen up 2 years later and seen he was dominating Fast Eddies and won the Houston Open etc.
Anyway.. history aside. Does he speak decent english now or does he come equipped with a personal translater?

To answer your questions:
1. Unfortunately I only caught the last two hours of the match, so a little over half of this epic showdown.. Perhaps you could tell me?
2. Let's see... hm... I witnessed at least four miserably failed safety attempts by Chris, and every rack he finished he had to rely on shot-making because he kept setting poorly. Granted, I haven?t seen Chen play for large amounts of money, however I have watched him play extensively and very rarely does he have either of these problems. Obviously, opinions on this matter will vary.
3. I asked him that very question. His response was "too much money!" Beyond that, I guess you'd have to ask the man himself.
4. I play bumper pool.
I hope David and Chris play again. I will be there, betting on Chris. David's a real nice guy, but I've watched him gamble a few times, and he hasn't done a little thing called "win."
LPAC said:when chen went to houston he was with richard. he played david 1st, (david won)..then david put cliff in the box playin chen(cliff won) so thats it....done with....myself and david are tired of hearing about chen beating david and is better than david. i am not offended, this stuff just gets old.....i put up a good piece of money this weekend . and i will do it again...... this is non sense about chen playin david..or being better than david...its not gonna happen, chen is a nice guy ...dont get me wrong ..but his camp doesnt want to put him in against david...so lets just let it be......

As for why Chen doesn't get into big money games... maybe the language barrier is a deterrent for stakehorses and there's the fact that he generally doesn't gamble day to day, whereas I know David G. does. Also, I'm not sure if David G. has kids, but Chen has a wife and kid to consider, so I'm not sure if he's willing to risk much if his own money. If I had the money, I wouldn't mind staking him myself, but I don't have the money to burn.
TIMBER1 said:I watched Chen play Little John the Friday before the Houston open. He had NO trouble playing for the money, in fact he was in dead stoke. His backer was translating via cellphone with Chens Wife (?) and was more than willing to put the money up. However after every set Chen wanted to leave. He was up around 5K and LJ nor Chens backer could keep him on the table.
