David G hits the trifecta with 3rd win.

No it wasn't. You almost have it right but the 3 ball was ON the top rail. Not out in the middle of the table. I said there were no outs...with your diagram there were like 2 different kicks possible. THERE WERE NO OUTS. 7 ball appeared to be frozen to the cueball. 3 ball was on the top rail on the middle diamond. He hit both titties and shot across and clipped the top of the 3 ball which then proceeded to bank into the side. If I wasn't so lazy I'd do the table diagram myself. :D

QUICK! Somebody alert Humphrey (Gerald Huber)! This might necessitate a road trip!

AAAMEN, Sistah!....

LOL! :D :D :D

I feel like breaking out with a rendition of "The Way We Were":

Memories.
Just like "Playing Off the Rail."
Smoky nights with gamblers,
that's the way we were.

Scattered pool balls
adorned those emerald fields of green.
"5 will get you 10, Pal,"
that's the way we were.

Can it be that we were all so young then?
Or has time erased those happy times?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? could we?

Memories....

There were no "outs" in my diagram. No possible kicks to the 3, except to double the corner, which is what I intended to illustrate. If you want to discuss the shot, learn to use the "cuetable". Even an idiot can figure out how to use it.

Hi Guys:

Here are a short video demo I have made to show the basic process on how to make a CueTable diagram and post it to any online forum (Apple Quicktime format, 5 minutes, 7.3 MB) :

You can also check the CueTable HowTo Page for more detailed description on all functions..

If you have created an interesting layout, please take a second to save it at the Layout Depository section of CueTable Public Library ( http://pl.cuetable.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70 ). This way people can always find your layouts later.

Doc, the kick looks amazing :)

Obviously otherwise you wouldn't be able to show us....:D

Oh and in your diagram you can kick to the side rail. And I don't recall anyone saying the 9 ball was there. Or any ball for that matter. Anyway, it was a great shot and I was going to put it on cuetable, but I'm of lower than avg. mental capacity so I can't do it. You guys missed out on a great shot. :D

Hi Tony:

I am sure doc was just kidding around and he meant no harm.. :)

I have also created a "self-guided" CueTable demo for people to learn the software. Please take a look at

http://pl.cuetable.com/showthread.php?p=509#post509

CueTable software is pretty easy to learn. At Derby City Classic this year, I was able to teach some people with little computer experience in under 10 minutes.

I sincerely hope this little tool can help you and all friends. If there is any questions please feel free to drop me a msg. I will try my best to answer them. :)

Btw, print out some notepads to bring with you (just in case next time it happens and you can't find a table napkin)...

Oh great computer wizard, we are nothing but pond scum under your feet.

It was the first time that I tried to use it. What I drew and what came up on this thread were entirely different.

I didn't have time to correct it as I was leaving to go out of town so I deleted the diagram.

But, please, in the future, oh mighty intellect, bless us with more of your name calling.

Just kidding, so get over it!
