I had the fortune/misfortune to play Santos at the Reno Open a few years back. The cue he was using was unique, I asked him who had made it - David Tice in Washington. About six months, while on business in Portland, I saw and played with a gorgeous cue that hit magnificently - the owner of the cue told me David Tice had made it. I decided to track down David Tice and have him make me a cue.
I did track down David and, after numerous discussions (he will ask you and almost require that you give him exactly, and I mean exactly, how you want your cue built) we agreed on how he was going to build it and I told him to proceed.
Without any superlatives or hype - suffice it to say that I am so impressed with the hit and the look of my cue that I am led to write this review of David and his work.
Track him down (he is in Leavenworth, Washington) and give him a call. Work with him and let him build you a cue. You will NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. He had told me up front that his ringwork is his "signature trademark." He wasn't kidding.
(*I have a few pictures of the cue and especially the ringwork - private message me with an email address and I will send you a couple of pictures.)
