Mike lost to Dennis Orcullo. Really surprised at Jundel Mazon beating Ignacio who was ahead 8-2 earlier. Of all the Filipinos, I would never have picked him to be the last 2 standing based on his performance on the live stream yesterday. He must have caught a gear, beating Nicko Eko, Dang and Ignacio consecutively.

Mazon is a beast . He's in stroke. I saw him match up in Manila years ago giving Revo the 7-ball. He did not miss a freaking ball.

He certainly was not impressive last night. How old is this guy? First time I have seen him play was last night and he did not leave a good impression. Do you think he has a chance against the remaining players? He must have caught a gear since last night.

Early 30's , I think. He can do some damage.
 
So I after these 4 matches on losers side, we are down to last 8 quarterfinals and according to US Open website, the win by 2 rule comes into effect

Format for Final 3 matches - Quarter and Semi finals: Race to 11; must win by 2. 12/12 is Hill, Hill. - Finals: Race to 13; must win by 2. 14/14 is Hill, Hill.

Yes am not impressed with Jundel also. He won big tourney $40K some years ago and then sort of disappeared. I like Felicidad over Jundel

Corey was up 8 - 4 in that one at one time. Orcollo had a big lead on Oliver at one point I believe also.
 
Liu Hai Tao win 11-8 over Berg. Berg blow chance he was given in final rack. Still great performance by Berg finish in last 12
