My sponsor built me up and burnt me down on the Bank Ring game, I have a great idea for the DCC. Greg could hold an event only for players who have allready won his bank pool event, and that way it's not all about who you know and or how much $ you might have. I guess I'm just dissapointed that I will not be in the ring game, I'll lick my wounds and press on. I'm sure I could have asked someone I knew to put me in but that is not my style, I suffer from "too much pride syndrom", well I will be there watching, I do not mind bettin' my own cash but because of the IPT's neglegence i'm unable to do so.
Sincerely, Danny Harriman

bank pool tourney

Danny, Sorry to hear that your not in this year. I'd say you would be the favorite in my opinion. The IPT really screwed alot of players like your self. Bank on Brother

Danny,

FYI - in Bank Pool we will need to have one foot on the floor, shoes on or off.

Best regards,
Deno

Danny - Never met you, but have seen you at the DCC each year, and you are a class act... I hope Greg works something out... I will try to catch you not playing, and introduce myself this year...

Where I come from if I want to play in a event I pay for it out of my own pocket and not want or ask somebody else to pay it for me so I can take a free shot at winning and if I dont oh well I didn't lose anything.

One foot on the floor is not always true in Kentucky at least when gambling speaking from past experience

I have also seen many champions climb up on the table as well

What is the rule at the Derby regarding one foot on the floor?

It is not directly covered on the rules page at

https://www.dcctickets.com/TheRules/

BTW: I know this is a reference to an incident in the IPT but I say take advantage of all the rules and that appeared to be the rules at the IPT (as long as you remove your shoes)

Either way - Stroke on Danny

BUT, the real question that now begs to be answered is does your foot have to be covered by a shoe?

NO ... At least it didn't when I used to play in Houston in early 70's. There was no 1 foot on the floor then, and I played without shoes all the time when I was younger, usually in socks though, a few times barefoot after taking sandals off. The trick was being able to get on the table, get situated for the shot without moving other balls or losing your balance, and then getting out of the way of the shot and balls after you shot it.

A jump shot or masse' usually proved to be the hardest to pull off when you were up on top the table ... LOL Later on, I was called on many times here in Wichita playing league or money games, when I pulled a chair up and put my left foot on the chair, while trying to shoot a extreme angle on the cue ball for a jump shot or masse' after getting as high as I could on my right foot (on tiptoes), but there is no rule that prohibits it, even today, and I did have my right foot on the floor.

Keith McCready used to play barefoot and the bottoms of his feet would be black as night.

I'm not so sure about there no being a rule against using a chair to play pool. I remember something about equipment must be used for the intended purpose only, like you cannot use your cue stick as a measuring device etc. But, hey I like ingenuity, one of the rule experts might clarify. Recently I played in a tournament where they did not allow visors or caps or head phones or even ear plugs.

Your mention about there being no rule reminds me of the guy on RSB who said he was going to get a pair of those clown shoes that are like 3 feet long and when he needs to climb on the table, he will slip a pair of these on and then the tips of his shoes will be touching the floor. If I were playing a guy like that I would tell him to wait until I got a camera and let him shoot. And no it wasn't DannyH. LOL.

Isn't the solution to this, learning to shoot with both hands, the bridge, or jacked up?

Just my .02

I don't think I would want to be in Mr. 9balltrain's shoes playing against me for his cash, he should imagine a snowball flying through the lower regions of hell, cause if he took one of his free shot's at me playing for the cash he would in fact be that snowball.

This reminds me of a local guy that was in a tournament here in St. Louis that could not reach a shot. He climbed up on the table and his opponent says "one foot on the floor!" There was a gasp in the crowd because this guy had his leg amputated. So the guy unhooks his artificial leg...leaves it on the floor..and responds to the guy..." Happy now a**hole?" The crowd burst into laughter.

He satisfied the rule.

How could you play me some if your broke all the time? Begging for someone to put the money up for you to play all the time. Every time I see you on here your whining about something. You are a great player but I can guaratee you if I had your talent I wouldn't be broke and asking for someone to pay for me!!!!!!
