I heard through the grapevine that Predator is focusing on pushing their Pro team to use Revo shafts and Predator Production Butts, rather than SE cues form Jacoby and Mezz. I believe that's why Filler is playing with a REVO and P3 this week. He looks a bit out of sorts with it
Special editionSE cues?
Yep, Filler's in a tuff spot.I heard through the grapevine that Predator is focusing on pushing their Pro team to use Revo shafts and Predator Production Butts, rather than SE cues form Jacoby and Mezz. Makes sense. Push what the average player is more likely to buy.I heard through the grapevine that Predator is focusing on pushing their Pro team to use Revo shafts and Predator Production Butts, rather than SE cues form Jacoby and Mezz. Yep, Filler's in a tuff spot.
He's tried Revo in the past but always gone back to his Z3.
But this time I think Predator is basically "forcing" him to use cf or lose sponsorship money.
It's a tuff predicament, but sponsors forcing athletes to use the newest gear happens in all pro sports.
Hopefully he can adapt.
that's the 11.8mm modelhe wants a conical taper and sub-12 mm, iirc. does revo have that?

He tried the Revo but liked the taper of the Z better so he went back to wood. Now he's using Z taper Revo. My guess it took him a while to get used to the shaft before he put in competition play.Filler is one of the players that did have a CF for a while then went back to a wood shaft. Bit odd if they are told what to use, but who knows what is in the contract for them. I can see them being asked to use a cue that is clearly Predator branded vs some co-production like some of their limited runs.
She uses a Taiwanese cue. Don't know if they made her shaft too.Over to the women's game, it looked like Chou's shaft to win the world title had a 1 inch brown micarta ferrule, I'm guessing South West. I just can't think Predator is happy with that.
If you notice she only a small patch. Predator better cough up the cash is they want more real estate on a champions clothingOver to the women's game, it looked like Chou's shaft to win the world title had a 1 inch brown micarta ferrule, I'm guessing South West. She's not sponsored by Predator as far as I know.Over to the women's game, it looked like Chou's shaft to win the world title had a 1 inch brown micarta ferrule, I'm guessing South West. I just can't think Predator is happy with that.
In the World 10Ball she only had patches from HOW and KPTech, her cue. She's not sponsored by Predator as far as I know.
Yup. Like any other sport, for the producers it’s all about the money.Makes sense. Push what the average player is more likely to buy.
Not entirely.Yup. Like any other sport, for the producers it’s all about the money.
Yeah, I wasn't thinking so either. Was more commenting on the optics of a player winning the title with a traditional wood shaft. She's not sponsored by Predator as far as I know.
