DCC Coming up - How about a cue test drive

This is something I've always wanted to do. Get a bunch of players together with different cues to try out all in one spot.

In particular I would like to get a huge sampling of players together to try break cues, various LD shafts and jump cues since these seem to be the most interesting.

Who would be down for this. I have quite a bit of different jump cues and break cues to sample from.

It's a nice thought, but impractical. Nobody can get the "feel" of a cue/shaft/tip in the short amount of time that this would be. You have to play with something for a week, at least, to get any kind of idea how it plays. I suppose somebody could hit a couple dozen balls, and know if they really DON'T like something, but it would be hard to describe those feelings. Many years ago Bob Meucci got a bunch of pros together in one place, at the same time. He taped up a bunch of different cues, so that you couldn't tell from looking at it what kind of cue it was (joints/brands/etc). The purpose was to see if the pros could tell what was what. It failed...nobody could tell what was what.
