DCC conflict with IPT?

Not trying to start a nasty rumor but I heard that in 2007 the IPT will be having several tournaments each month through June. If that is true then they most likely will be having a tournament in January at the same time the DCC is being held.

Does the WPBA ban their players from the DCC?

The WPBA does not ban their players from the DCC... Vivian, Alice Rim, & Jeanette all played at the DCC this past yr.

Considering Diamond is the official pool table for the IPT, I would venture a guess that KT will leave the DCC alone when they schedule next yrs events.

I can only assume you heard this from Mike "Seagull" (if you don't get it, you didn't see the other thread :D ). FYI, Mouth Seagull is famous for starting BS rumors.... esp those about the IPT inparticular... keeps the interest up during all of this down time since the last IPT event.

Tap-Tap. I thought the same exact thing, Timberly just beat me to the punch. For some reason there seems to be this underlyng threat of the IPT having "uncontrollable scheduling conflicts" with other events. It has already occurred with the US Open, and I think the IPT enjoys watching others jump through hoops to accomodate the players when all they have to do is sit back and flash the cash. If and when these conflicts occur, I hope that the players realize that the toes they step on to get the IPT cash will be connected to the asses they wll have to kiss when the cash is no longer there.

Mike's main job is to keep running his mouth like some sort of pro wrestling villain. He's only there for the money that he's being paid, and running his mouth is how he earns it. Sadly, this thing is not generating all of the publicity that they hoped it would. I believe that if they were to force the players to choose between the IPT and DCC he would be making a grave error, despite the publicity that would receive (obviously negative publicity - but why would KT care about that?) If the IPT was smart, they would try to find a way to enhance DCC and SBE to make these popular events bigger than ever. That would be a giant step in the right direction.
