The DCC Tickets website says the event runs from Jan 20-28, 2017. The website says the 9-Ball starts on the 27th. That makes zero sense. If you read down further it talks about the 2015 9-Ball event now being a BCA Ranked event and switching from a race to 7 to a race to 9. When does the 9-Ball actually start? There is no way a 400+ man tourney wraps up in 2 days. Somebody help so I can book my room at the Best Westen Plus and drop my leave chit son!

Go to dcctickets.com. It lists all the correct current info.

That's why all published tournament dates should include the year. The 27th was right some year.

I was just on there again and it lists the 9 ball draw on 1-25, and the finals on 1-28.
Just do a search for " Derby City Classic 2017 ". CLICK on dcctickets.Com and all the info for 2017 pops right up on the first page.

Figured it out. If you scroll down on the home page it shows this year's dates for the three main events, Banks starting on the 20th, 1P starting in the 22nd and 9B starting on the 25th. If you click on the links in the upper left side of the home page for each individual event that is where the discrepancy shows up. Each event is off by 2 days. I'm sure it was an honest mistake, I do it sometimes in my work emails, forgetting an attachment when I say please see attachment is a good one.

Bottom line, thank you to the producers of this one of a kind event, I'm sure they work on it year round. Hopefully we'll all continue to support it for years to come so we can enjoy it. It is the best event for fans of pool, hands down.

The important thing is , you realized it was your error, and apologized for blaming someone else, for making a mistake.

I didn't blame anybody else there cool guy. The discrepancy does actually exist. I wanted to know if anybody knew the actual dates because there was no way they were correct. If you go on a website and it says the tourney runs from Jan 20-28, 2017 but it says the 9-Ball starts on the 27th, that's an issue. It said the Banks starts on the 22nd, is everybody gonna practice for two days prior to? Have to make travel arrangements, have schedule time off work. My observation is exactly what the subject line reads.
