DCC Entry fee's

I have been going to the DCC for a few years now and i really don't remember the entry fee's being so high

2009 Event Dates

9-Ball Banks
$110.00 Entry Fee (Entry fee includes a $10.00 registration fee)
Total: $110.00
Friday January 23rd $50.00 Buyback
Guaranteed Added $10,000
Draw 10:00am
Players Meeting 12 Noon
Match Play begins at 1:00pm

One-Pocket
$135.00 Entry Fee (Entry fee includes a $10.00 registration fee)
Total: $135.00
Sunday January 25th $75.00 Buyback
Guaranteed Added $15,000
Draw 10:00am
Players Meeting 12 Noon
Match Play begins at 1:00pm

9-Ball
$160.00 Entry Fee (Entry fee includes a $10.00 registration fee)
Total: $160.00
Wednesday January 28th $100.00 Buyback
Guaranteed Added $25,000

No, the Banks started at $50 in 1998.
In 2009 Banks is $110 (includes $10 registration fee) IMO it is still a good price. You get to play and have a player's pass for the entire week. Still cheaper than having to pay daily admission.

I don't think the registration fees are high at all.

Seems a small price to pay to be able to play against some of the worlds best.

Now airfare and lodging for me would be a bit prohibitive.

Thanks Guys, I will have a booth there and cleaning the tables so i am not worried about paying to get in. I thought i am there so i might as well try to play this year to help pass the time. I just thought it was a little cheaper in the past to play. If you play in all events do you have to pay the 10.00 reg. Fee for all events? I am hoping to get some time in the AZ Room also. I am looking forward to meeting some of you guys. See ya in a few days, Doug

Each event has a registration fee.
If you play in all three it would be a total of $30. Unless things have changed.
You might want to post this question in the Derby City Classic section of the forums. I am sure Greg Sullivan or someone that can tell you for sure, will answer your question.

I am doing some contracting work and unfortunately I will be hard pressed to make more money at the Derby than I would staying here and working....

Prices have creeped up a bit each year.

Either rooms or entry fees or VIP seats or Credit card fees. It all adds up though. It is now to the point I cannot go alone. Especially with the hotel not allowing pets.

I miss going.

If you know you will be playing in any division, do NOT wait until the last minute to sign up. If you sign up the morning of the event, you will be charged a late fee, which I believe is $25. If you sign up even the night before, there is no late fee.

I had forgot about that late fee. I'm coming in on Thursday and play some, so I'll be sure to sign in.

You may already be aware of this, but you can also sign up online at dcctickets.com. You will just have to create an account on their website, which is free. Once you are logged in, the option to buy spectator passes and sign up for tournaments becomes available.

But I think the deadline for that was Sunday. It don't matter. I'll be there Thursday with enough money to take care of things. I already had an account there, just been putting off paying my entry's in case something come up. I have kids, you never know what might happen. But the Ex-wife is supposed to come and stay at my house with em while I'm gone. And my oldest brother lives across the street. So I should be covered once I actually leave for DCC. I have my cell so I can still schedule appointments for work while I'm there. Man, I'm gettin that itchy feeling. Ready to pack my bags and go.

Oh, that's right. I had forgotten there was a deadline, and yes I think it was last week. Sounds like you got it covered, though.

Ditto the itchy feeling. Last year was my first time at the DCC, and I had so much fun I'm chomping at the bit this year.
