FYI, when you go to book a room on the Horseshoe web site it lists the wrong start date for the tournament: Jan 22, when the Banks actually start on the 25th. I had to make a change to my reservation so I mentioned it to the agent on the phone.

Also, a friend of mine just tried to book the 9-day package and said those were gone already, as were non-package two-bed rooms, at the beginning of the week around the start of the 1pocket. That's second hand info, but I thought I'd pass it along.

I had lots of trouble talking on the phone to several of the agents last year (or maybe year before, I don't remember). It was not until I got to some head person, (after numerous calls and hold time) that they finally had the correct info that the rooms were "blocked out" by Sullivan and crew, so that they were reserved for us. But on the hotel's computer system, they showed as booked, and not available at all. What a hassle that was! I'd bet the same thing happened to your friend this year.

For clarity, this means the rooms are available for "us" only, but the booking agents think they are legitimately booked by actual people.

BTW, the reason I called last year, was the same as you this year... the online booking dates did not properly match the actually tournament dates. They were eventually fixed, but after I booked on the phone.

Yeah, there's definitely something funny with their reservation system. I travel *a lot* so I'm very used to booking rooms, planes, cars, tours, show tickets, etc. online. But somehow, when I booked my stay with Horseshoe, had bought the room and all, the confirmation screen had the dates totally screwed up.

Word to the wise: double check your final screen.
