Thanx man!.....but you know what, when she's around I play better. And honestly, without her there it would'nt be the same.
That's cool, I was just funnin' with ya. ;) Maybe y'all will stay 'til the end and we could say, "hey" to one another.

A bit of info

Came home today and the wife figured she wants to go because they have a pool!. I think it's great....We met in a pool room, so she "Gets" it when it comes to me playing or watching. I guess I'll enter the 1pocket and get the free pass for her. We need to set up a way to find all the other AZ'ers when we get there...Gerry

You cannot use a free pass for her, your pass for all days is your i.d. badge with your picture on it. All other people must pay. Sorry. But it is well worth it in the long run.

Not an official

Well I attended twice now and that is the way it works. What is conflicting? I did not see any body say you and a spouse get free entrance.

I read it earlier here today, that each player gets a pass for spouses/significant-others. It could be something new this year, or maybe wrong. That is why I was looking for clarification.

Here is a LINK, it is mentioned in posts #8 & #9.

Must be something new or I just never noticed as my wife never came. That is a great perk considering how big their expense must be.

Yeah it is a huge perk. I figure my buddy and I were probably the ony people that paid entry fees, last year. LOL

Quit givin me a heart attack you guys.! I read it the same way, each player gets a pass for thier spouse or whomever they want. Smart way to do it, because it bumps up the entrys, and gets guys like me who were on the fence about playing, into the event.....Gerry

I would REALLY enjoy meeting all of the AZers. I'm simply unable to travel to these events. I'll be in Nashville thought at JOB's in January. I hope to meet some of you then.

Hey Willie, I'll take you up on that drink but I'm not a cheap drunk. I drink ice cold Bud with a shot of Drambuie. mmmmm, already had 3 tonight.

Ps. - What would everyone think about sharing this room$ & table with OnePocket.org members?

OHB,
I'll make it 2 rounds if you share a couple of Buddy Hall stories (since you are so prominently featured in his autobiography).

I'll kick in $100 for an AZB table. We just need $900 more. While I am more interested in spectating than playing; I definitely would like a little straight pool match with DMGWalsh, Woody_968, Wally in Cincy, and Efren (who ducked me last year). Since you've been practicing straight pool, I'll probably have to duck you.:) :)

P.S. - If things aren't moving forward within the next few days, then perhaps we need to make a bigger deal of it in the main forum (and also with the onepocket.org crew - a good idea to join them).

If we definitely get a table, I think we could set a time for a "get-together". I believe I can get a celebrity or two to make an appearance at the "get-together" (I'll cover any costs involved), and perhaps play some challenges against the AZB'ers for cheap (or expensive in the true spirit of the DCC). If we come up with the $1,000, I'll work on the celebrities.

Willie - You know nothing moves forward without a good push and you have certianly done that.
I suggest either you or Mike Maloney (semperfi) start a poll here at AZ and collect $.
What autobiography of Buddy's are you speaking of?

TY & GL

I'm sure I can get the wife to kick in for part of the private room from our Real Estate Company!....Anything to make this more fun......we're in for another $100...Gerry...

OHB,
If nothing has happened by next week (when I get back from travelling), I guess I'll have to start something. It would be easier for SemperFi to do it since he is in Louisville, I hope we hear from him.

"From Rags to Rifleman" was the book of which I was speaking. There is at least one sentence where he mentions you, which is about 1 sentence more than anyone else I know - and it was a very complimentary sentence (something about you steering Buddy to a game).

Thanks, but if you could see me play 14.1 on a Diamond you will understand why I must decline the offer.

Wally,
Well, since you realize that the game is all about enthusiasm (not proficiency), then you will understand why I must insist. Don't make me drag you to the table (and I don't want to hear about your need for beauty sleep).
