I commend the event organizers, for not allowing them in match play.

Often, as we all know, the jumper often does administer pain in a similar fashion as a luck shot, a mid rack break shot.

AFTER THE JUMPING FROG RESTS...."Where she stops, nobody knows''.

It was refreshing to see kicking and masse's shots w/o that noise of pounding the cue ball into the slate, and balls coming off table at times.

I enjoy well executed jump shots. In fact I was watching a "greatest shots" of an event last night on YouTube and it had tons of jump shots! I think they are one of the more exciting shots to watch. Yes it's fun to watch a well played kick safety or kick in shot but also fun to watch a well hit jump where they stop the rock dead or draw it for position. Just my opinion. Jumps are another skill that must be worked on so why not allow them...But guess the same could be said about all the break rules etc.

A few logical reasons I can think of, why don't they allow them in pro Snooker, 3 Cushion or one pocket?

Break rules tho are another subject.
 
I think the creativity of kicking for contact (Efren) is more impressive than anY Pogo Shot.

When you watch Ronnie O, run his cue ball 27' and park it on and behind the balls at the head rail, it's a Tiger Woods moment.
AND THE AUDIENCE KNOWS IT!!!!!!!!!!
A reality that no Jumper will ever create, a shot that will be talked about for Years on end.
 
i am against jump shots (unless executed with playing cue (more difficult)) ... a few minutes of practice someone could easily learn how to escape a safety.... kick shots are more difficult in most situations.

nothing wrong with jump shots. just use your playing cue to do it. love DCC for this reason.

Format: Race to 11, single elimination, alternate break, foul on all balls, no jump cues.10-Ball does not win on the break tho’ beware, caroms and combos do win.

that was me doing a search on jump cues instead of starting a new thread after seeing that at dcc. I like when events make players jump with their regular cue, just don't like those little trick cues.

We could ban the slam dunk in basketball too. It's nothing but showboating and requires no skill. Athleticism... yes. Skill.... no. Don't see that happening any time soon either.
 
The only complaint I have about jump cues is that I wish I had better control using one. I can escape most cages but can’t control the position of CB as well. I hear a lot of complaints about jump cues making the game easier but hear no complaints about the ball in hand rule. I grew up scrounging for dollars against the better players and on a foul you had to shoot from the kitchen
