Actually, Jason should have won it the year Scooter won it. Jason dropped about 60k of his own money both playing and staking players. While Scooter went around borrowing money to lose.

Brian, you are a quiet person and I have a ton of respect for you. We have enough Death Balls in the world and I am glad you and Jason are not that way.

I agree that a guy who stakes and plays should get more votes.......but we need to remember that the namesake for this award is famous for getting staked, sometimes by multiple people for the same set. He was never known as a stakehorse and while it is cool to recognize the stakehorses its ultimately the player who has to handle their cue under the gun.
 
After J. Lee won the next year she came in the action room and stole the table fron Harriman and jacked around for four hours. She needed to go nhome and worked on another baby,
