While at the DCC, I spoke with Greg Sullivan about hosting more mini tournaments. Specifically until this year there was a Senior One Pocket Event and I believe $1000 was added. It was limited to 32 players single elimination $50 entry fee. He told me to ask the AZBilliards group and if we had enough response he would be willing to do so for next years DCC. Since we are all getting older I was thinking of suggesting a minimum age of 60 years. Perhaps we could even increase the entry to $75 or more so the payday is a little better. In years past he also had a One Handed One Pocket Event with a similar format. Greg needs to hear from us if he is to bring back these events.

I played in the Senior One pocket tourny for several years, for me starting at midnight is too late. There are a lot of slow one pocket players. The last time I played in it, we started at around midnight and it was 230 when we finished out match. That is just too late for me, even if I won it would not be worth it again. I know the tables are being used for the main event, I just don't know what could be done to make it better.. Tom
