When Jay & I decided to do this we didn't know what to expect, we both thought and hoped it would be fun and people would like it but you just don't know till you do it.
Who knew it would turn into such a monster? Everyone liked it and players were going on tilt. They wanted us to do it all week but we just couldn't.
Everything was done pretty much on the fly and we had to make decisions as they came up. Trust me when I say Jay and I didn't always agree with each other but we agreed with what we decided and stuck with each other on it.
Bob Jewett graciously and generously allowed us to use his room and when it started to steamroll I became concerned that it was taking away from and distracting the 14.1 challenge.
The 14.1 and the Ghost are 2 different things.
In the 14.1, you need the concentration every single rack and minimal distractions to get on a high run.
With the ghost you can put up with the hooting and hollering and players coming up to look at different shots you can try.
Everyone was getting pretty loud and having a really good time with the ghost and all the players really were pulling for each other to do the best that they could. The 2 events had 2 different types of crowds that really shouldn't have been right next to each other which was my concern but all in all it worked out.

Now the biggest problem.
The event had to finish as advertised (Tues nite). We said everyone that paid could finish their turns...but at midnite it became a nightmare with everyone wanting to pay and take their turns on Wed. We had to make a decision quick and we decided to give back all the late entries and move to the only open table we could get...the TV table.
Who knew as the first one up Gabe would shatter the high run of 47 with a 60!!! A 60!!!!! Thanks Gabe!
Everyone that wanted, got their chance on the table and no one came close to that. Jay and I stayed till after 6am as neither of us had anything better to do.

The ONLY players that Gabe's 60 affected were Mika, John, Alex and Corey.
Greg Sullivan offered $500 in the OTHER ROOM to anyone that broke 50 and even though it was on the TV table he paid Gabe the $500 because his 60 was such a feat.....THANK YOU, GREG!
The next day Don Wardell (Williebetmore) and I talked about it and came up with a solution to the problem of us moving to the TV table and having 4 players affected by Gabe's score.
The AZB / Onepocket.org room would put up $500 and let the 4 players (Mika, Alex, John and Corey) take a turn on the TV table and the high score would win the $500.
I ran it by Greg and he was very, very appreciative with the idea. I told each player what we came up with and they were all VERY excited and thankful for everyone involved with the forum room.
So Thursday nite I made an announcement that Corey, Alex, John and Mika would be playing the Ghost for $500 donated by the forum room on the TV table. There was a nice crowd and a little betting going on and everyone had a good time.

Corey, Alex, John and Mika would like to thank all the room members for the chance that they had, they appreciate it very much.
Hope this answers a few questions and settles a few issues. Eveyone had a great time and I think it went well for the first time and not knowing what to expect. There were some problems and we did our best to solve them and please everyone. We learned alot and we'll most likely incorporate it with the AZ room next year and have it go longer and have a separate AZ room members event.
