DCC Ring 10 Ball rule request;

I respectfully request a rule change in the upcoming DCC 10 Ball ring game when it comes down to the final 2 players at which point I feel it really isn?t a ring game (unless you say ?yeah but it?s still a ring game).

I request that safety play become part of the game when it comes down to the final 2 players because I don?t think it?s fair to put a player in a position where they have to take a low percentage shot rather than take the obvious safety. The way it?s run now will present some rather uncomfortable situations (I?ve seen them in the previous games) in which player ?A? will have to make a decision to be totally honest and take that 10-1 or worse shot knowing that they?re about to blow some serious dough or even lose the whole match or play that 2 way shot that is staring them in the face but make it look like they gave it an honest effort and we?re all left wondering, did he just play safe?

I totally understand no safety play with 3 or more players still in but with 2 players left in the game it aches to watch players put in that position and I don?t think any players entering the game would want to be placed in that position. And I would hate to see the eventual winner be the winner because they actually played that 2 way shot when it was technically against the rules and the loser be the loser because they played honestly.
 
Safeties greatly increase the time and no one wants to sit around for a much longer period of time.

Can't say as I agree with you on this one, especially when it's down to two players.

Sheesh... Big money on the line and you want the players to throw out their expertise in a one-on-one situation? Give me a break :mad:

That situation almost becomes a crap shoot.

Couldn't agree with you more. I hope the rules are changed to reflect your concerns.

I agree. A ring game is 3 or more players. If there was a ring game going on at the pool hall with 3 people, and one of them left, the 2 remaining players would switch to regular rules if they were to keep playing.
