DCC shipping cues to hotel?

Has anyone ever shipped their cues to the DCC hotel rather than check them in the airplane?

If so, what was your experience? Did you call the hotel beforehand? Did that make any difference? Were your cues there at the front desk, or did it take hours for them to find them for you, etc.?

Thank you.

While I have not shipped cues there I will say that if they handle cues in the same manner they handle booking reservations during the DCC, I wouldn't even think of shipping them.

I honestly would consider shipping my cues to a total stranger here than shipping them to the hotel. I don't know what days your going and know that you don't know me from Adam but you are welcome to ship them to me and I will deliver them directly to you.

Especially if you are seriously contemplating shipping to the hotel.

I have not for the DCC (haven't been). But I did ship my cues UPS Blue Label (2nd day air) to the Riviera for the BCA several times. I showed C/O "my name as on credit card for room" and my booking confirmation number. Every time the cues were at the desk at check-in in pristine condition. And conveniently shipped the cues back home via the business center at the end of the tournament.

Good Luck!

All the time.

I prefer to ship my cues rather than check them at an airport.
I have never had a problem sending cues to hotels but I call the
hotel and ask how they prefer it done. Hotels are not unfamiliar
with guests doing this. I believe more stuff is shipped to guests
than we think.

You are much safer finding a UPS or FED EX store near by. Call the store and advise you are shipping a package to yourself, "Hold for arrival". Go to your local store, have them pack and ship. You are not at te mercy of a crowded hotel or a changing staff.
