DCC updates..

I agree on the charts. Part of it is the buy-back system doesn't lend itself to conventional brackets. Finding out who stands where is pretty iffy.

It is difficult to tell what's going on at any given time, as the DCC website does not appear to update results in a timely manor. However, It does appear that Brumback & Olinger are perhaps the only two left alive in the banks??? Hard to know for sure. Here's all that I've got:

Jayson Shaw is also alive getting the bye. John has also received an earlier bye, so if Alex can give John his first loss, Alex will get the bye to the finals and Jayson and John would duke it out.

Otherwise, Jayson will have to double dip Mr. Brumback in the finals!

All you have to do is look at the last two rounds listed to see who is left.

Weird. When I snipped that image from the current matches screen on their website, those were the only two matches shown. Now I see onepocket matches on the schedule as well. The results page have only been updated through round 11 of the banks. What gives???

Even if Alex wins there is no guarantee he gets the bye. The bye is determined by a random draw and any of them could get it.

If Olinger beats Brumback, then Shaw would have to play in the next round because in the past they have not given the same person the bye in two consecutive rounds.

I noticed the same thing right after my post. So it appears my suggestion only works provided the completed match list is up to date. Next best thing is to book a flight to indiana.

Great activity on the 14.1 challenge.

This straight pool challenge event is REALLY coming together, the event is growing believe it or not. We just had new signups from the both the Ko brothers - Ko Pin Yi, and Ko Pin Chung, the mysterious Kevin Chang, Roberto Gomez, and to top that all off Shane Van Boeing will be visiting us. We have had to employ ACTION room tables to take qualifications of which Dennis Orcollo just ran a 154 in the midst of the action room being asked to gamble lol, maybe next year we will have 4 tables and 2 streams.

Catch everything !!!

Anyone knows how to watch Straight pool challenge and where to view results?
Also where to signup PPV for 9 ball that starts tomorrow? Is it also accu stats that will be streaming it ?
Thanks

Current finals score is Shaw 2 -1, Shaw to break. Thank God for the mute button. Gibbs is awful at commentating.

Brumback still has a buyback too.

Yes, 9-Ball will be on Accu-Stats, but may not show up until Thursday. Last year it was 1-Pkt. all day Wed. and most of Thurs.

DCC Coverage?

It's interesting to me that there is essentially no coverage on the biggest event in pool unless it is reported by enthusiasts who have a passion for the game. And they must usually schedule vacation time and pay to attend the event! Thank you fellow enthusiasts for taking your time. Next months billiards magazine will report the results....to those who have subscriptions. Maybe the magazines don't make enough money to have paid writers to cover events as they happen. Maybe it will detract from streaming income. But it is a public event and the billiards industry would seem to benefit if they told people who are interested what the results are before next month, some of the nuances of why one player won or lost, who was in the action room and details on how players matched, etc. Perhaps I'm wrong, maybe there is simply so much money being made in the billiard industry they simply don't need to inform the public!
