DCC & Vegas

So I saw the thread for the OMGWTF match and only watched the last few games of it.

Heard that they mentioned the DCC possibly moving to Vegas?

I personally loved exactly where it was.. If you book rooms soon enough you can walk straight down to the pool room. Then I heard they were going to move it across the street from the hotel. Which I don't like..

Now I hear the two on the video say they may move it to Vegas. I do not like any of the new ideas myself. It was perfect the way it was except for the restaurant in the hotel closed up too early.

What's the word birds? True or false? Does it stay the same, Move across the street, or go to Vegas?

Damn good question i hope it stays where its at or at least stays in the center of the U.S. i think that is what draws alot more people is the location. We all know about gas prices it makes the East Coast people have to travel another 1,500 miles.:D

There was a thread on here just recently about this. Greg is in negotiations on keeping it in Louisville. Don't think it will move to Vegas. But I hope it all works out, this is the best there is.

I seriously doubt it will move to Vegas. I have talked to Greg Sullivan several times about it and he has never mentioned Vegas as an option. Which is a very good thing IMO.

and what's the deal with it staying at the hotel or moving across the street? Anyone know.. I hope nothing changes and it stays in the hotel..

and they keep that restaurant open past 10pm.. Because I starve after 10pm there.. Usually load up on crap from the gas station.. Dunkin Donuts, Chips, etc... Not very satisfying.. :(

I believe at the end of this year was the last for that hotel. They anounced it would be going across the street from then to now who knows:confused:

Last I heard it is still up in the air with Caesars in Louisville as a real possibility. He is still looking around as far as I know. I am confident he will make a good choice and it will be the nuts just like always.

Hi Folks,

The only problem with a casino is they expect their guests to gamble at their tables not in a "private" area. The Turning Stone closes the tournament room as soon as the last match is over and opens it just before the first match of the day. Regardless of the final location, Greg will give us the best possible event. I'll be there.

Greg did mentioned the possibility of moving the event into Indiana at Caesar's location. This would be quite a coup. Vegas is not an option. Too much travel and "see above".

If they moved it to Vegas it would no longer be the DCC.

They would have to change the name to

SCC - Sin City Classic

or

HCC - Hooker City Classic

That's kind of funny.. But they still have hookers that hang around now. Only difference in that for Vegas is there would just be more of them. heh..
