Dead rail on valley

Would this be pretty much the scenario on a dynamo table? I have brand new pro edition ridgeback rails on it but one corner makes a loud thud. Guess I need to pull the slate and check for the same solution.

Bad cushion rubber

Hi,
Is there anything else I can do? Any idea what is causing this problem?
Kevin

Cushion rubber can be bad right from the start.I purchased new covered rails direct from Valley last summer and one of the end rails was dead right out of the box,how dead ?I can hit the cue ball hard and it won't make it back to the opposite end.
Called Valley tech support several times and all I got was the run around as they said they never heard of a new cushion being bad.

Also Valley won't even sell me just one cushion at my expense but they would be happy to sell me another full set.LOL

The rubber is rock solid?
Have you uncovered the cloth and inspected the rubber?
I find it odd that the cushion rubber is bad from day 1.
There might be other issues...

I have some single pieces of old stock k55 penguin rubber laying around the shop, I've got some k66 old stock in other brands as well.

PM sent.
