I recently recovered my table and the head rail has a definite "thud" when a ball hits it. The rail bolts are tight. Did I forget something? Thanks in advance.

Besides the thud sound, do balls rebound off the rail like the other rails?Sorry, Connelly 9 foot.
Yes, I have to say they rebound okay.Besides the thud sound, do balls rebound off the rail like the other rails?
Measure the nose height of all the cushions, see if they're all the same, if so, what is itYes, I have to say they rebound okay.
Loose skirt on home style leather drop pocket style tables will give off a loose rattle because it's only held on in place with a few wood screws. But you can get a thudding sound if the rail cloth is stapled to the bottom of the rail past the cloth stapling dad. The thickness of cloth will lift the nose height up higher than the other rails if thats the case. Also, if you don't bolt the pockets in with both pocket bolts you can get sound from the pockets.Check to see if the skirt is tight?
