Dealer cases??

Wondering about dealer cases. I noticed they make a 12x24 style and I'm sure larger but do they make any cases in that same style smaller in size such as 8x16? I figured if the trend as with softball bags is going to inline wheels with handles for pulling around, maybe some pool case designers are also going in that direction.

Dealer cases

I think I have seen only 1 website that had a 8/16 hard dealer case with wheels and handle like the 12/24. They also have a 10/20 cases.

They have soft cases that carry like 8/16.

Any chance you can recall that web site? Also thanks for the reply and help. The 12x24 is great for storage but I think there is a market for that case style in a smaller size, maybe I'm wrong?
 
Look at 8-ball Rat's very recent post in the "wanted/for sale forun". He has one for sale...very reasonable, very honest seller.

dealer cases

I have a 24 x 48 case similar to a golf bag on wheels
2-24 x 48 flight approved dealer cases and a 16 x 32 Instroke witrh tooled leather all over, and it is worth $3000.00.

I would sell the Instroke for the right price, they are very rare, Instoke used to make one of these cases a year. I was told recently by Instroke that they were made in Germany and they don't make them anymore. It turns into a display case, and has all of the attachments. The cuebuilder I got it from said that he generaterd more interest in the case at Valley Forge than his cues. Also, this case is the only thing I own that my girlfriend wants me to leave to her in my will

The Instroke tooled dealer cases are made in the Czech Republic and tooled by a master leather crafter there. The quantity made depends entirely on what the tooler is able to do as he is booked up.

I have been asked to resurrect this style of dealer case and I am currently building a prototype that improves on my old Instroke dealer case design. The new one will have some more features to make it more user and display friendly.

They should be up for sale in a few months.
 
cases?

Keep the info coming very interesting stuff. I have never seen the instroke style (new to this) I do own a 3x7 cowboy I'm guessing it's nothing like a dealer style. Any place I can see a picture of this style? Also does anyone else know on what web site they have the wheel/handle style cases in a smaller size? I'm interested in seeing the 8x16 posted in the above post. Thanks,

I knew nothing about this case which is why I called Instroke last week. I talked with Franks wife, Frank was out of town. She said it was made in Germany, but even if it was the Czech Republic, it dosen't matter to me, I got the case in a package deal with several cues, flight cases etc. What do you think this the case is worth, it is in 95% condition or better.

I didn't say the Czech Republic in order to denigrate the case but merely to set the record straight. Instroke in Taiwan doesn't make the 16x32 dealer cases. I designed that case.

Instroke in Germany "makes" the 16x32 cases and they have made a handful of the tooled ones.

They were actually made after I parted ways with the Germans. The first one was made for Leonard Bludworth and it was valued at $1500. I have no idea what subsequent ones have been valued at. Considering the price of a highly tooled prize rodeo saddle then I'd guess that $3000 might well be in the ball park for some of the cases I have seen with that much tooling.

This was the case that was made for Bludworth. I didn't make it. I designed the basic case but I had nothing to do with the tooling. The case wasn't actually designed as Blud wanted it but he took it because it had taken a long time to get. Since then I have seen 2 or 3 others that were very nice.

My guys now are able to do this kind of work and I look forward to some of the cases we are going to be turning out. Not necessarily dealer cases tooled like this except for special order, but we will do the smaller ones.

It is really nice to discuss this case with the person that was involved in actually making it. So was it made in the Czech Republic? If I ever decide to list it I want to be as accurate as possible in my description.

Did you design the new smaller 4 x 8 Instroke cases that are similar in design? Except for the eleborate tooling the new Instroke 4 x 8 soft case seems like the same type of construction, but made in Taiwan.

I have designed every Instroke being currently made. The only things that are not mine are the surface decorations on the Taiwan Instroke cases.

The cases that are made in Taiwan are better construction than the ones currently made in the Czech Republic.

I should remind everyone that I am no longer involved in making Instroke cases. Since 2004 I have not had any input or involvement in the manufacture of Instroke cases.

The 4x8 soft side is similar to the dealer case and I have often used it as a 6x12 dealer case. I don't know what the interior is like on the ones from Taiwan, I haven't actually ever picked one of these up since I sold the brand.

The case you have was made in the Czech Republic by Instroke Sports GmbH in Germany.

I have to correct a previous statement. I said that it was tooled in the Czech Republic. I am not entirely sure about that. It may have been tooled in Germany by a tooler there who was an aquaintance of Toni Mueller. You might want to try and send an email to Instroke Germany. www.instroke.de and ask them about it.

Like I said, that case was finished during a time when I had no involvement in the production of the cases from Europe. It is my design but that is all. The decoration had nothing to do with me.
