Dealing with John from JB cases

I am not upset really. Trust me there are far more pressing custom orders than yours that I need to address. These customers are all being very gracious not to share their stories of having to wait and being ignored.

Once I get all these orders cleared I will be much happier but even happier if I can ever hire someone who can take the orders with the same amount of knowledge that I bring to the table.

I wish some neuroscientist would hurry up and develop a way to transfer knowledge so I could just download my case knowledge into someone else's brain and they could take the orders while I get to play in the shop, talk pool when I want to and play when I want to.

Wow, I don't know where this post is going.I was sort of in the same boat as JT.I also have an instroke insert on order, and i know John is busy, so I decided to PM him when I first read this post.It took all of a half an hour for him to get back to me,and he said he'd have it finished today and maybe shipped too.Not bad customer service as far as i'm concerned.Well John keep doing what you're doing.You can't keep everybody happy.....Rick.

Hey Rick, sorry we are late. All I have is LAME excuses but it's what I have.

We have done several of the interiors for the Instroke butterfly cases. But the person who did them is now gone and we have looked everywhere for her pattern for these. She apparently did them without a pattern so we have to do it from scratch. Not a big deal but the order just got swept under the rug with all the catch up we are doing on our regular orders.

We will get you hooked up.

well- i read several threads where John Boy :grin: was involved- also some "funnier" threads where discussions turned into cyber-wars. But at least i never had a problem with John. He s a great guy and he stands straight-up for everything he says. That s what i really like!

Back to topic:
Bit longer ago bought a case from a well known cuemaker-and after receiving it i was kind of pissed because of the inserts. So being unlucky i searched of a solution and contacted John on Skype- i had him on skype because of some discussions about pool which were not case-related.
Told him my problem..............and 2 weeks later i received my package here in germany from china, with an explanation how i put in my insert myself.

That he helped me that much with stuff from him (where he for sure don t earn really something with), sending it to me, with a *how to do it right*, just to install this thing into a case from another casemaker-- a real class act which shows what a great guy he is, and that he really ares for the ppl,
