Deano

Here is the bottomline…….this is reality……..there are a lot more people that personally knew Deanoc
or “actually” transacted business with him versus those that had little contact with him or ever bought
any pool cues from Dean. Based on the posts & Likes expressed, Dean is more popular than unpopular.

Fact: there’s more supporters than there are critics. Furthermore, most of his critics never bought a pool
cue from Dean whereas many of his proponents actually have. Firsthand experience certainly qualifies a
person to express pertinent opinions unlike his critics that largely echo what they’ve heard or maybe read.
I'm just basing my opinion on his posts, lack of gratitude when I've gone out of my way to a answer one of his famous threads announcing he needs contact info or a retail source for something without so much as a thanks, his proven deceptive sales tactics on this particular batch of cues, and 2 outright weird PMs he sent me.

I can only go on what I know. I honestly do not care if I am in what you assume is the majority.

These photos were taken less than 2 weeks after Dean shipped the cue. There's a few things to note here.

-The handle and forearm were coming apart and cracking
-The buttsleeve is completely hollow up into the handle
-The collars are cheap gray PVC instead of black
-The ferrules are totally mismatched, materials, lengths, diameters
-The collars are rounded with ripples throughout the finish
-The maple shaftwood is a D- grade at best
+Nice pin

Again, this cue would have been fine at $250 from Schmelke.

Defending the sale of these at $600 as a Jack Potter cue is an embarrassment to the legacy of Jack's cuemaking.

By all appearances it looks like something a aspiring cue maker would build for practice to improve his cue making skills. I’ve been in many cue shops and seen similar cues.

I don’t know the Jackpot story. I wasn’t here for 6-7 years. Missed it all. Dean did send me a sneak Pete once that was ok, wasn’t Little Al Romero level SP, but it wasn’t garbage.

This cue in the pic shouldn’t have been sold, the builder should either keep it in his shop for more practice, to work on finishes, different collars, swapping out bits & bobs on a whole cue. That’s what this cue is good for-training cue builders. Not players to play with.

Shouldn’t ever leave the shop in one piece. If not used for training. Chop it up, clean the band saw, take a shower & forget it ever existed. Don’t put it in a public market & take credit for it. Bad idea

You also must remember that CocoLoco considers the 100 voices in his head to count towards the majority. The problem is the vast majority of people in these forums see the wrong doings, and don't condone them in any way shape or form. The idiots like CC keep acting like what he did isn't a problem, and that is where I take issue.

Schmelke sells this for $250 and that's fair if you want an ebony plain jane.

Dean pushed this for $650 or something as a Jack Potter-spec'd and built stone cold magic player.

This is the reason for the outrage

Could be, but as I said, I don't care if I am in the minority or majority.

Dean was wise (or maybe embarrassed) enough to move on. He's probably gone through 3 tables since we saw him last.

DEANOC LIVES!!!!

I did not like his hustle either, but, I do find it interesting that thereare 16 pages for a dude who aint even on here no more= SOME RESPECT. He has likely done more good deals than bad, but, the last one was not appreciated by many!
Deanoc, I hope you got right with your wife and GOD!

It's like cheating on our wife after 30 years. Does she give you a pass because you were good the first 29 years ? Maybe she does not throw you out, but she is still going to raise hell about it and not let you ever forget it ;) So, being remembered this way is not a good thing, in fact, most likely why Dean ran away with his tail between his legs. He got caught, red handed.

I know, I just still find it interesting. He hated me. I never liked him. He is better off spending his time somewhere else from what I read.

You are obsessed with the Jackpot that that was how long ago. Can you personally do anything to fix?

Maybe you should find a philanthropic cause to change something in your control.
You are obsessed with supporting a scammer, and for supporting his scams.

Maybe you should find a philanthropic cause that influences you get better morals, and if that can't happen then to at least distract you from having to be so obsessed with and supportive of scamming and scammers here on this site.

On a side note, which do you feel is good and which is bad, being obsessed with supporting scammers and scamming, or being obsessed with denouncing scammers and scamming?

Here is the bottom line.....this is the reality.....

---Scamming is bad, and if you are a scammer you are a piece of sh!t (at least until/unless you have reformed yourself anyway).

---The indisputable facts show that Deanoc is a scammer who got caught blatantly scamming many.

---Whether you, me, Joe Bob, or Henry Mack got personally scammed is immaterial and does not change the fact that Deanoc is a scammer who scammed many.

---Whether Deanoc did good deals with other people doesn't change the fact that he is a scammer who scammed many.

---Whether you like Deanoc or not, or even if he is your close friend, it doesn't change the fact that he is a scammer who scammed many.

---Even if Deanoc were more popular than not, it would not change the fact that Deanoc is a scammer who scammed many.

---Look around the country at all the total pieces of sh!t see out there everywhere, and all the people that have neither intelligence of common sense that you see everywhere. It isn't any big surprise that you can find plenty of people supporting any immoral or illogical thing you can name, including this one, the scamming that the scammer Deanoc did. That Deanoc's scamming has some supporters isn't a reflection on Deanoc, it is a reflection on the supporters.

---I do not have to personally get scammed before I have the right to be opposed to scamming, and you would have to be an idiot of the highest order to believe otherwise.

---If you are supporting and defending immorality and criminality, it says something very strong about your character and lack of morality.

You are going to have to spell that out a bit better because I have no idea what you are trying to say. Thanks.
Though I don't understand his phrasing...from knowing the experience he's basically saying Deanoc and Sertoola are cut from the same mold.
