I've decided to experiment with a Mike Sigel import my buddy gave me. The "inlays" apparently are just decals. My question is, what's the best way to remove them. Thanks in advance. :help:

I like the import decal remover that Walmart sells pretty good, now really you can try a blowdryer to heat them up or a razor blade to lift the edge and if they don't come off easy try some alchohol or weak thinner. It will probably look like what it is either way, a cheap import. good luck--Leonard

They are under the finish, you need to remove the finish first. If you dont have a lathe to spin it, you will find it very difficult. You have to sand the finish off, and then you can try to peal them.
Chemical strippers will work, but then you have to neutralize it and start from scratch.
Lot of work unless you just want to play around and ruin a playable cue in the process.

Thanks for letting me know about the finish. What should I use to refinish?
