I believe that is just the caliper of player! The new generation of players are incredible shot makers. But I am not seeing as many packages put together as I once did. Of course, you have Fedor and Filler who are just on a different level, but their break has to be working for them to get it done. When I watched the Derby, I wondered if Filler would have been as dominate as he was if the corner ball wasn’t going in.

The problem for everybody is, he's still usually the first to a shot, simply because he has that long range firepower that nobody else has other than an in-stroke Shaw.

If you leave him anything he fires it in and gets shape, whereas everybody else has to duck

And even more so - thanx a bunch from AZB community for being here at the forums and sharing your insights!!! Unfortunately as time passed there is less and less players of your caliber who remained and did not turn to Fleecebunk or similar stuff.
If anything, we'd appreciate that you stay at least here (and be hoping to see you screw the woodwork back times and times again ).

(I for years have been willing to see Mr Dechaine get another go at the Mosconi Cup, even though this event is not to be taken too seriously)

Finally had time to watch the match.
That was extremely high- level play from start to finish. I was very impressed by Mike's ability to grind through a tough rack after sitting in his chair watching his opponent catch a gear and decimate his seemingly insurmountable lead. That was a display of world-class focus. I hope to see more from MD from here on out.
