ok, for all of you maestro's out there, how do you play this shot and gain position on the '2'? hope its clearly understood the '1' Ball is so deep in the pocket that going rail first is simply not an option.

On most tables I'd probably go for the draw shot and expect to get at least enough of a look for a safe. Another option, against a lesser opponent, is to go rail first and "accidentally" miss the one, and let them deal with it. The 4 is no picnic, anyway.DrCue'sProtege said:ok, for all of you maestro's out there, how do you play this shot and gain position on the '2'? hope its clearly understood the '1' Ball is so deep in the pocket that going rail first is simply not an option.

Shoot at the right side of the one to hit the ball and the right side of the pocket near the same time with a good draw stroke to come straight back down for the two.DrCue'sProtege said:ok, for all of you maestro's out there, how do you play this shot and gain position on the '2'? hope its clearly understood the '1' Ball is so deep in the pocket that going rail first is simply not an option.
