delrin butt without glu in tascarella cue

hi i recently bought a used tascarella 2005 4 point 4 veneers cue and when i take out the bumper i see a strange big plastic bolt. when i take out this bolt the delrin come out.i am little surprise, because i don t see any trax of old glue. is it normally? is it for any regulation of the vibration?
after the plastic bolt for stopping the delrin, there is not any metal bolt for weight....is it normal? sorry for my english i am italian. i hope you can help me. thanks very mutch to all

Glue will not readily stick to Delrin. When Delrin is used any where on a cue it must be mechanically attached. Some also use some glue but the glue doesn't hold the Delrin but makes it much harder just to unscrew.

Delrin does not glue very well and generaly you use the wieght bolt to hold the delrin butt cap/ring on. If the bolt is plastic then maybe he just didnt want to add any more wieght to the rear for balance reasons. I would contact him anyways to be safe.

I hate the use of delrin in a cue. Like Dick said, no glue no finish sticks. I also think is looks bad. Just my opinion. Rick G
