I have an Elite. I liked it..I bought it. The 13 is probably a fine rack. These are nicely made. They will last forever if they are not dropped or abused.

I have the Elite, I love it! I did not get the leather inserts, the noise that so many seem to complain about does not seem so bad to me. Its so easy to get a nice tight rack, no more flexing plastic triangles like the ones with bar boxes.

I have the regular, not the elite. It is a great rack. I have used the elite but couldn't really tell a difference. I know there are some differences I just couldn't justify the extra cost when the regular delta 13 is so good.

That being said, when I play 10 ball I normally use a magic rack.

Difference In the 3 Delta-13 Racks

I think I might be some help. Below are the similarities and differences between the racks.

Delta-13 Elite:
1. Made in the U.S.A.
2. 6061 Aluminum
3. Anodized in the colors listed on webpage (www.delta-13.com)
4. Ergonomic Grip
5. CMM report (measures the rack to make sure it is within tolerances and is a "perfect rack" or "A true triangle" measurement)
6. Identifies undersized balls
7. Reduces cloth wear
8. Comes with engraving on two sides
9. Center alignment marks
10. Lifetime warranty
11. 3 rails and 3 corner design

Delta-13 Select:
1. Made in the U.S.A.
2. 6061 Aluminum
3. Anodized in black and silver grey that are listed on webpage (www.delta-13.com)
4. Ergonomic Grip
5. Does not include CMM report, but racks are measuring up to the Elite when we are checking every so many
6. Reduces cloth wear
7. Engraving is extra on two sides
8. Center alignment marks
9. Lifetime warranty
10. 3 railed design

Delta-13 Regular:
1. Made of Cast Aluminum
2. Powder Coated
3. Comes in various colors
4. Does not offer engraving
5. Does not offer CMM report
6. One piece cast

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions and I would be happy to answer them!

Since the Delta Elite & Select prominently say Made In The USA; where is the Regular version made?

The Regular Rack is casted overseas and is not made in the United States. Executive Billiards dba Delta-13 as a company decided to discontinue our Regular Rack. We were buying it over seas and powder coating it in Colorado. The quality overseas was not meeting our expectations. We were only able to put 20% of the racks we produced in the market due to porosity issues. Every rack on the market has been inspected and is great, it was not a smart move for our company to continue to produce these. We wanted to produce a U.S. made rack that was high is quality at a lower cost. This is how we came up with our new Select rack. Our company is now 100% made in the U.S.A. Check out our new Select Rack Here: http://www.delta-13.com/all-products/delta-13-select

How can these racks identify undersize balls?

I guess the Select and Regular has the same functional feautures as the Elite? Only the materials made make the difference in price?

The racks identify undersized balls because of the rack measurement. The CMM touches each side of the inside of the rack to make sure all the tight tolerances have been met. It measures:
1. That all three corners are a 60 degree angle
2. The flatness of the three rails to ensure no twist or warp
3. The perpendicularity of all three rails to the table to ensure tight fit for the balls

This CMM report is included with the Elite when purchased. Therefore, when you have balls that are undersized, the rack is not tight and balls will spin (this is how you know the balls are not all the same size).

If you are having problems obtaining a "tight rack" with our rack it is not because of our rack, it is due to a couple different reasons.
1. The balls are undersized
2. The cloth needs to be changed

The Elite will be the most accurate because of the measurement we include, so you know it will rack tight. The Select rack we have measured every couple and they are measuring up to the Elite which is fantastic! You just will not get the CMM print out when purchasing this rack. The Regular rack is different from these two racks. It is a cast aluminum (one piece) and has never been measured. Keep in mind, the Regular rack, although not measured, is still a better rack then any plastic or wooden rack and you are still obtaining a tight rack.
